Gunner 

October 24th, 2015 – March 26th, 2025

Gunner is a dream dog, and we are very grateful to have him as a part of our family. Since he was 8 weeks old he has made many trips to the local high school to work as a therapy dog, the students and faculty love him! At home, Gunner exemplifies the well-mannered temperament of the golden retriever. He loves everyone he meets, especially if they throw his favorite orange kickball for him. Gunner is accomplished in the breed ring and earned his championship on May 4th, 2018. He and his sister Kellogg competed in the esteemed Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in February 2020. In 2021 Gunner earned his Bronze Grand Championship and returned to Westminster where he took Select Dog.

Gunner sadly passed away in March 2025 after a brief battle with Hemangiosarcoma. The pawprints Gunner left behind are massive, and our hearts are broken with his loss, but our homes are not quiet. Gunner’s joyful spirit lives on through his descendants, and we still catch glimpses of his smile or are asked to toss a kickball by his kids and grandkids. We take comfort in the knowledge that one day he will greet us at The Rainbow Bridge.
